The UFA’s “Game of the Week” schedule has been released for the 2026 season. With each week, we take an inside look at a key matchup to look out for.

Week 1: DC Breeze at Boston Glory | April 25

Boston’s new two-way star, Thomas Edmonds, plays his former team to start the Game of the Week action. He’s not the only one making a debut for a new team, as one of the most well-known veterans in the league, Sean Mott, suits up for the Breeze to take on the reigning champs after 11 years in Philadelphia.

Week 2: Salt Lake Shred at Oakland Spiders | May 2

Last year, Chad Yorganson and Jordan Kerr each had at least 70 scores for the Shred, with the next team member at 54. Conversely, Walker Frankenburg scored 84 times for the Spiders, and Evan Magsig scored 64, while the next most was 55. It will be a slugfest in a shootout for these two dynamic duos.

Week 3: Atlanta Hustle at San Diego Growlers | May 9

The downfield space in this game will contain pure entertainment. San Diego’s Travis Dunn and Khalif El-Salaam versus Atlanta’s Alec Wilson Holiday and Brett Hulsmeyer. Which downfield duo will dominate the skies?

Week 4: Colorado Apex at New York Empire | May 16

The clear storyline to watch in this one will be superstar Alex Atkins suiting up against his former team, the Apex. Atkins only played four games last year, but is just a season removed from his First Team All-UFA campaign with Colorado.

Week 5: New York Empire at DC Breeze | May 23

Two of the most careful offenses face off, and it will be about which offense can succeed more in the red zone. The Breeze went 2-1 in 2025 against New York but converted in the red zone 13 more times.

Week 6: San Diego Growlers at Oakland Spiders | May 30

The key watch in this one will be in the opening game plan of Growlers’ Head Coach Kevin Stuart and Spiders’ Head Coach Liam Kreiss. Since 2021, whichever team came out of the first quarter with a lead won the game, and there have been 13 games between the two in that timeframe.

Week 7: Indianapolis AlleyCats at Minnesota Wind Chill | June 6

So far this offseason, there have been 18 new signings between these two teams. 15 belong to the AlleyCats, including former Wind Chill defender James Pollard. Indy added four other all-defensive selections, while Minnesota brought in a former defensive player of the year in Lukas Ambrose and a perennial defender in Noah Coolman. The newcomers' effect on the defensive side is a must watch.

Week 8: Boston Glory at New York Empire | June 12 (Friday)

The aura around this rivalry may feel a bit different this year as Jeff Babbitt returns to New York, but this time with a ring on his finger that says Boston Glory. After winning three with the Empire, Jeff Babbitt pulled a Tom Brady-esque move, showing that he can win a ring elsewhere.

Week 9: Toronto Rush at Seattle Cascades | June 20

Whenever playing an opponent for the first time ever, adaptability is key. Film doesn’t expose the nuances that playing a divisional opponent multiple times a year does. It will be up to the leadership of each team to make changes and adjust.

Week 10: Oakland Spiders at Salt Lake Shred | June 27

At this point in this season, the key matchup will be how consistent the offenses can be. Last year, both these teams’ hosted top-four offenses in scores, hold percentage, and offensive conversion rate, and have proven to be two of the fasted-paced offenses in the league.

Week 11: Seattle Cascades at Salt Lake Shred | July 4

This focus is more about the timeframe going in and out of halftime. In 2025, Salt Lake won both games against Seattle, but they outscored the Cascades 14-3 in runs coming in and out of the break. Seattle will have to minimize that damage if they want to notch their second all-time win against the Shred.

Week 12: Boston Glory at Minnesota Wind Chill | July 11

The 2025 championship rematch is going to be another one for the books. Minnesota's prime defensive line is clear-cut, the best on paper, but Boston refuses to give up the disc and will gladly play small ball. Last year at Champ Weekend, the Glory completed 268 more passes combined versus Minnesota and Salt Lake.

Week 13: DC Breeze at Atlanta Hustle | July 18

How much can DC keep Atlanta’s record-breaking offense off the field in this one? The Breeze’s offense is patient, calculated, and meticulous, attempting the fewest hucks in 2025, but having the second-most completions. Breeze defenders Miles Grovic, AJ Merriman, and company will need to find a way to slow down the Hustle’s three-headed monster directing traffic of Hayden Austin-Knab, Adam Miller, and Austin Taylor.

Final Thought

There are so many intricacies that go into playing frisbee at the highest level, but this list provides a game within a game perspective that could be determining factors in the outcomes of these matchups this season.
